Charlie Agnew attended Bluefield College where he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts. Soon thereafter, he completed a M.F.A. in Painting at the University of Memphis. After graduating and doing some part-time teaching at the University of Memphis, he taught at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee as a Visiting Professor of Art.  Charlie currently teachs full-time at Middle Georgia State College as an Associate Professor of Art. Charlie’s artworks have recently appeared at the 567 Center for Renewal in Macon, Georgia, Bluefield College in Virginia, the Contemporary Arts Exchange in Macon, Georgia, and Gallery RFD in Swainsboro, Georgia. His artistic skills include: Drawing, Painting, Photography, Sculpture. He is also the Gallery Director of the Peacock Gallery on the Cochran campus, scheduling six to seven shows annually. Since arriving at Middle Georgia State University in 2004, he has advised the Student Art League. Charlie also currently serves the Department of Media, Culture, & the Arts as the Art Program Coordinator.
