Dr. Debi Hamlin, Recording Artist and Professor of History, the BronzeTone Center for Music & History, and Affiliates remember the legacy of Lewis Hamlin Jr., Producer/Chief Arranger, Band Director, and Lead Trumpeter for James Brown aka “Godfather of Soul.” From Oct. 18-24th, the 2020 invitation only, CDC compliant events will focus on Lew’s greatest quality: CREATIVITY. Surviving family, friends, and fellow musicians across the nation will pause in eternal gratitude for Lew’s smile, laughter, entrepreneurial spirit , musical genius, social activism, and historical legacy to Macon, Baltimore, and the world.
