The purpose of the workshop is to teach participants how to tell their own stories through dance while also learning dance history.
Join us in learning about the trajectory of dance of African Americans, from slavery to the present. Along this journey, we will watch videos, create movements through dance improvisational structures, and discuss the relevance of dance history to today’s society.
*Bring a cell phone or a tablet to watch videos and dress comfortably.
