Acrylic Painting for Beginners

In this 6-week class, adults will learn the basics of acrylic painting, with a focus on painting realistic portraits. With an array of methods and tools, you will cultivate a foundation in painting realism and be able to continue your practice after the class ends. The class will begin by working on an underpainting from concept to drawing and end with a finished 16 x 20 canvas by each student. Class will be taught by artist Kevin Scene Lewis, a professional portrait artist with experience teaching art to both kids and adults. The cost for the entire course is $165 for non-members, $140 for members, and includes all supplies. The class will meet on Wednesdays, 6:30-8:30 pm, starting June 1. Ages 16 and up.
