Beginning Wheel

Learn the basic principles of making pottery on the wheel in this 8-week class. Basic throwing skills will be taught, as well as decorative techniques for functional pottery forms. Ages 16 and up. John Skelton will teach this class. The cost is $220 for non-members, $185 for members, and includes all materials and firings. Meets Thursdays, 6:30-8:30 pm, starting October 22. For the health and safety of our customers and artists, our classes will be held under the following guidelines:

* Small class sizes: there will be no more than 6 people in a pottery class
* Social distancing: participants will sit 6 feet apart, unless they are family or live together, etc.
* Masks: students must wear masks at all times.
* Sanitation: hand sanitizer will be provided and frequent hand washing will be encouraged. Tools, tables, and other frequently-touched surfaces will be sanitized between classes.
* Food and beverage: with the exception of water bottles, no food or drink will be allowed in classes
* Health: participants are asked not to attend if they have a fever or other symptoms of COVID-19, or if they believe they have been exposed to COVID-19
