Many people may not realize that the original story of Fiddler on the Roof takes place in Russian-occupied Ukraine, with the characters of the story experiencing similar oppression to the political events of today. In response, The Grand Opera House will donate $1 from each ticket to Care USA, a Georgia-based nonprofit that serves emergency Ukraine relief.
