Capital to Coast - Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS)

The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety will be debuting “Capital to Coast 2021” on May 3-7, 2021. The inaugural launch of this campaign will include a 5-city educational tour, with stops in Atlanta, Athens, Macon, Savannah, and Brunswick. To help decrease fatality numbers, the Capital to Coast 2021 tour will focus on issues like helmet safety, the “3 Feet Law,” tips for both motorists and cyclists on sharing the road, and other bicycle safety issues.

Introduction to “Road Bike Safety 101”
8:45 am – Group ride lead by Bobby Shorr and Jim Langstaff around downtown. Real-time talk about best practices for bike riding on city streets.
9:30 am – End route

The event will begin and end at Tattnall Square Park located at 1155 College St, Macon, GA 31201, the main parking lot is located on Oglethorpe St.
