First Friday Art Crawl

Explore downtown Macon’s art galleries on First Friday–who knows what you’ll discover!
Macon Arts Alliance (486 1st St), 4-7 pm
Macon Arts will host “Talisman,” an exhibit of paintings by Kevin Scene Lewis. The show will open with a First Friday reception.

Green Light Gallery (452 1st St), 4-7 pm
This new addition to downtown will celebrate an exhibit opening featuring artist Hazel Caldwell with live music and refreshments.

The 567 Center for Renewal (456 1st St), 5-8 pm
The September exhibit is “From City to Soul”, an exhibit of photography by Tyler Horne and ceramic sculpture by Heatherly Wakefield. On First Friday, meet the artists, see the new exhibit, and enjoy light refreshments.

McEachern Art Center (332 2nd St), 4-8 pm
The gallery will be open for visitors. The current exhibit, “PROOF: From the Archive of ABSOLUTE COLOR,” is an archive documenting Gretchen Wagner’s ongoing research, process, and exploration of color as both form and content.
