Free! Books for Kids & Teens

Take home an assortment of free, gently-used books. Be surprised! Each bag will have 8-10 books pre-selected by our volunteers. Age ranges are: pre-school-1st grade, 2nd-5th grade, middle-high school. If there is more than one age range in the household, you will receive more than one bag.

Picture books, chapter books, stories imagined and true, animals and pets, young adult fiction, science, travels and cultures, art, and more. All books have been donated by the community or by public and school libraries.

Friends of the Library was unable to hold a Spring Book Sale due to COVID-19. Upholding our commitment to community literacy, the Friends and Read United are giving away more than 6,000 books for kids and teens during this time of particular need. The Fall Book Sale is tentatively scheduled for late October.
