Georgia Sports Hall of Fame Celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Hank Aaron's 715th Home Run

Presented by the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame and sponsored by Macon Coca Cola Bottling Company and Georgia Power Company, this fun-filled event will feature the official unveiling of our exciting new Hank Aaron exhibit, stories of Hank’s record-breaking night from Hall of Fame inductees Ron Reed and Vic Correll-the battery for the Braves on that historic night, Phil Schaefer-renowned journalist with countless interviews with Hank, games and treats for the kids, along with swag and giveaways from both the Atlanta Braves and the Macon Bacon, a super-cool Atlanta Braves photo op, and appearances by special guests! Hank’s Food Truck will be on-site with hot dogs for sale and drinks will be provided by Coca Cola, along with tasting samples.

The event is free of charge from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will begin in our rotunda with special guests giving firsthand accounts of Hammerin’ Hank’s incredible accomplishments both on and off the field, including memories of that amazing night! Games, photo ops, treats and giveaways will be available on the lawn.
