Handbuilding for Kids

By learning the basics, kids can make their own ceramic pieces. In this 4-week class, kids will work in a range of techniques, including sculpting, coil building, and pinch technique. They will also learn how to paint their pieces with glazes and add their own designs. Artist Johnnie Skelton will lead the class through different projects, such as boxes with lids, mugs, wall hangings and sculptures. Kids will love getting their hands dirty! Ages 7 to 13. The cost is $85 for non-members, $70 for members, and includes all materials. Meets Saturdays, 10 am-12 pm, starting August 17.
