Intermediate Oil Painting

In this 10-week class, adults with some experience in oil painting will dive deeper into the medium with the help of artist Beth Smith. Students will go step by step through creating an original oil painting, from mixing colors to composition to brushstrokes. In the process, students will also learn about color theory, materials, and other topics unique to oil paints. This class will practice painting both from life and from a photo reference. The cost for the entire course is $250 for non-members, $210 for members, and includes all supplies. The class will meet on Mondays, 6:30-8:30 pm, starting October 1.  Ages 16 and up.
