Lewis Hamlin Jr. Legacy Celebration

Sponsored by Dr. Debi Hamlin and the BronzeTone Center for Music & History, the 5th annual Lewis Hamlin Jr. Legacy Celebration is an invitation only event celebrating the life and legacy of Macon’s own, Lewis Hamlin Jr, Chief Arranger, Band Director, and Lead Trumpeter for “Godfather of Soul,” James Brown.   Beginning at 12 noon and ending at midnight, our 2019 remembrance includes a series of closed Board sessions, unveiling of the proposed BronzeTone Center site, complimentary food & beverages, and concludes with a performance by Dr. Debi Hamlin, Vocalist and Professor of American & African American history.
