Macon Young Writers Workshop

This is a social and educational group for high school aged students in the Middle Georgia local area looking for a place for skill and personal growth. This free, six-week workshop is facilitated by Mercer students Ashley Pemberton and Ivy Marie, and it is supervised by Georgia Poet Laureate Chelsea Rathburn, but it is mainly a place for student peers to workshop their poetry together and grow as people and writers. The workshop includes writing materials as well as opportunities to publicly read and publish your poetry. We will meet every Monday at 5pm in Tattnall Square Park to discuss our work and explore poetry.
