'Mid-Century Macon' book-reservation reception

Jim Barfield and Walter Elliott have a spectacular new book, “Mid-Century Macon 1945-1969,” coming out early next year, and you can reserve a signed copy on Friday, Dec. 3, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at M&R Marketing, 331 Third St., during First Friday activities.

The 180-page book, a partnership with Historic Macon, costs $49.95, plus tax. It provides an intimate look at 40 of Macon’s most well-known mid-century modern homes, as well as other prominent sites across town that incorporated the popular architectural style, characterized by clean, simple lines.
