Nectar and Company's 2nd annual Garden Market

Starting Thursday, April 19th at noon, the MAS is hosting a Lunch & Learn featuring garden designer and plantsman Jenks Farmer. Lunches will be provided by Fountain of Juice. That evening the MAS is also hosting Rhythm & Bloom a night of culinary cuisine catered by Feathered Nest and foot stomping music by the Bo Henry Band. Special event tickets purchased through the MAS guarantee food, fun and first digs at Nectar and Company spring 2012 Garden Market.

“Nectar and Company will unveil the hottest must-have plants at this spring’s Garden Market,” said Carmen Johnston, owner of Nectar and Company. “Garden Market’s interactive concept shops teach guests how to make their existing in or outdoor spaces eye-catching, irresistible and contagious with this season’s horticultural trends.”

Garden Market guests will be surrounded by six enticing themed concept shops under the 60 by 60 square foot tent. This year’s event features how to videos and action stations instructed by team members of Nectar and Company. There will also be cooking stations, with demonstrations by local chefs.

“We want our guests to be a part of the experience. Our featured how to’s, action and cooking stations make this more than a plant sale…this is an all-out spring garden event!” said Johnston.

The concept shops that display Nectar and Company how to videos or action stations show guests fun, unique and exciting ways to utilize the Garden Market merchandise. The objective of each how to video, action and cooking station is to inspire guests to decorate, cook, preserve and entertain in their homes, inside and out with the featured flowers and plants.

Reservations are required for Lunch & Learn and Rhythm & Bloom. Lunch & Learn features garden designer Jenks Farmer. Rhythm & Bloom is a night of culinary delights by Feathered Nest and foot stomping entertainment by the Bo Henry Band. Rhythm & Bloom and a portion of Garden Market proceeds benefit Museum of Arts and Sciences. Free admission during Garden Market weekend does not include free admission into the Museum of Arts and Sciences.
