Phantom Galleries Pop-Up Exhibit

Phantom Galleries revitalizes and energizes the community and pedestrian thoroughfares by converting vacant storefronts throughout Downtown Macon into window front galleries. Each new exhibit opens on a First Friday, adding to downtown as a vibrant cultural hub for public presentation of art. Phantom Galleries also grants exhibit opportunities and exposure for local artists with a focus on new talent. Phantom Galleries is presented by a partnership between StartUp Studios and The 567 Center for Renewal.

The summer exhibit will focus on 8 empty storefronts on Poplar Street between First and Second Street. Over 10 local artists will be featured. Take a stroll down the block on First Friday to see the transformation! The artwork will be on display through May and June.

This exhibit is made possible by an On the Table Conversation to Action Grant funded by John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and Community Foundation of Central Georgia.
