Play Streets Macon: Downtown

Join us for a night of fun, community, and play as we bring Play Streets Macon to Downtown Macon for First Friday in partnership with Main Street Macon!

WHEN: Friday, November 3, 2023, from 6 to 9 PM

WHERE: 2nd St. (Poplar St. to Cherry St.) + Cherry St. (2nd St. to 3rd St.)

WHAT IS PLAY STREETS MACON?
Play Streets Macon is a community-driven initiative that empowers residents to temporarily close their streets to through traffic, creating a safe space for play, connection, and family-friendly activities. The program is inspired by Bike Walk Macon’s popular Open Streets Macon initiative. Play Streets is a fantastic opportunity to reclaim the streets and enjoy a vibrant atmosphere with your neighbors!

Neighborhood-led activities include:
– Pedestrian-friendly First Friday celebration
– Extended patio seating from your favorite eateries
– 2nd Street dance party
– Interactive activities
– Outdoor living room
– Lawn games
– And so much more!

We invite residents of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds to join in the excitement. Let’s come together and make this program a memorable experience for our entire community!
