With new Music Director Jerry Steichen leading the orchestra in the Macon Symphony Orchestra’s 40th Anniversary Season, the opening concert will begin with the stirringly beautiful but little-known Balakirev’s Overture on Three Russian Folk Songs, followed by Russian and Finnish masterpieces.
