Join us for a presentation with the researchers from the Enslaved People Project.
The Enslaved People Project is an initiative of the Bibb Superior Court Clerk’s Office to identify, index and digitize original records involving enslaved people. The project came to life several years ago when Superior Court Clerk, Erica L. Woodford, Esq. and her Chief Deputy Stephanie Woods Miller, Esq. discovered deed books dating from 1823 (the year that Macon was incorporated) to 1865.
