Soprano Lenora Green-Turner, April 11, 2024

Macon Concert Association is pleased to present American soprano Dr. Lenora Green-Turner.  She is a Macon native who received her Master of Music and Doctoral degree at the University of Michigan.  She earned her post-graduate Performance Diploma from Indiana University and currently is a voice professor at University of Arkansas.  She is being recognized as one of America’s loved sopranos with her full warm, gorgeous, lyrical voice.  She is hailed by Opera News as an impressive vocalist and NYTimes as a most expressive singer.  Her Bel Canto program encompasses song from Italian and German composers, on to Hispanic composers of Latin America and the African Diaspora and African American Art Song showcasing the collaboration of Langston Hughes and the extraordinary talent of Margaret Bonds.
