The School of Arts & Letters partners with The Douglass Theatre to present The Celluloid Closet, with discussion led by MGA’s own Dr. Patrick Brennan.

Join us for a screening of The Celluloid Closet (Rob Epstein et al, 1995), followed by a discussion led by Dr. Patrick Brennan.

The Celluloid Closet is a documentary film directed and co-written by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman. The film is based on Vito Russo’s 1981 book The Celluloid Closet: Homosexuality in the Movies, and highlights the history of how Hollywood films have portrayed LGBT characters. This film is rated R.
