Third Thursday Organ Interlude at St. Joseph - January 16, 2020

The January Organ Interlude features organist Alvin R. Blount, Organist and Choirmaster at Episcopal Church of the Ascension, Cartersville, GA.  A native of Augusta, GA, he is well known to Macon organists from his time as a graduate student under Dr. Robert Parris at Mercer University. Completed in 1903, St. Joseph Catholic Church has outstanding acoustics which showcase the 53-rank Schlicker pipe organ installed in 1984. Located at 830 Poplar St., Macon, GA 31201, it has handicapped-accessible entrances  available through the New St. entrance (ramp and elevator) as well as from the smaller side parking lot off High Place.
