Third Thursday Organ Interlude

The 2019-2020 season of Third Thursday Organ Interludes opens with organist José Reyes-Ortiz, Director of Music and Organist for the Church of the Most Holy Trinity in Augusta, GA.. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in organ performance from the University of Houston, where he was a student of Robert Bates and Matthew Dirst. In 2009 and 2011 Mr. Reyes-Ortiz obtained Second Prize in the William C. Hall Pipe Organ Competition in San Antonio, Texas. He also holds a Master of Music degree in organ performance from the Townsend School of Music, Mercer University, where he was a student of Jack Mitchener. Mr. Reyes-Ortiz has participated in master classes with renowned organists such as Guy Bovet, Kimberly Marshall, Christa Rakich, and Ken Cowan.
