Tour of Progress 2019

Join NewTown Macon on Wednesday, October 9 for a behind-the-scenes tour of downtown Macon’s transformative development. NewTown Macon’s Tour of Progress, presented by Cadence Bank, provides a sneak peek of projects underway and a look into what programs fuel our vibrant downtown. This event is family-friendly and FREE!

Tours will depart from the Lofts at Capricorn (520 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.) starting at 5:00pm. They will depart every 30 minutes at 5:00pm, 5:30pm, 6:00pm, and 6:30pm.

Tours will end with a casual reception hosted by NewTown Macon at Macon Beer Company‘s newly completed taproom at 458 Second Street. Tour one of downtown Macon’s newest projects while enjoying food, drink, and a brief awards ceremony announcing this year’s Partners in Progress awards. The awards ceremony begins when the last tour arrives at the reception, around 7:00pm.

Following the Partners in Progress Awards Ceremony, NewTown Macon will host Sounds of Progress –a free concert featuring local hip hop artist, ALäZ (Vinson Muhammad). The concert will begin around 8:00pm and take place in Macon Beer Company’s beer garden.
