CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for children) is a trained community volunteer who is appointed by a judge to advocate for an abused or neglected child involved in juvenile court dependency proceedings at no fault of their own. Through recommendations to the Juvenile Judge, CASAs advocate for the physical, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual well-being of the child(ren) served. Other core advocacy goals are safety and permanency with each CASA case assignment.
