This book club was initiated by Mercer University’s Center for
Collaborative Journalism and partners’ year-long series, “(Dis)Integration: Racial
Desegregation of Bibb County Schools” in 2017-2018. It is now being
continued by diverse citizens in Middle Georgia.
Members of the book club decided to continue this dialogue to improve
the quality of life & race relations in our community by:
Engaging in honest, stimulating, constructive, respectful
dialogue in a safe environment regarding the complexities of Institutional
Racism, Privilege, Prejudice, Compassion & Resolutions. Club members select a book monthly for review & discussion.
We meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month at Washington Memorial Library-Genealogy Room, 1st Floor, 6:15 – 7:15 p.m. We welcome new friends at any time!
