Craig Burkhalter is a life long resident of Macon, Georgia. A printmaker primarily working in relief, lithography and etching, Craig also produces books, posters, broadsheets and cards using letterpress techniques. His art is often social commentary or political satire but it also extends to personal narratives, floral and figurative work. He has taught art in Macon for over thirty years at the high school and college level and has conducted workshops, private lessons and demonstrations. His studio is at the Contemporary Arts Exchange, 590 Mulberry Street, where he serves as Chairman. His resume includes over 300 solo and group exhibitions. Classes are held in his studio and private lessons can be arranged.
