Next up we have my friend who’s an artist born and raised in Macon, Georgia. Residing in Atlanta, Raegan has started commissioning paintings for clients around Macon and Atlanta on her free time. With her background in 3D design, she creates an abundance of unique works that are both abstract and balanced with a color story. Without further a do, I’d like to pass the mic to Raegan!

“Hi, I’m Raegan! I grew up in Macon, Ga and I have a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts Degree from Georgia Southern University. I graduated in 2018 and have worked in the sign industry as a designer ever since my junior year of college. I enjoy designing 3D structures, but I also love to paint! So that’s what I do. By day, I design architectural signage and by night, I paint in my apartment. In college, I studied 3D Design (ceramics, sculpture, metal works, etc) and I apply a lot of those skills in my signage work, but since college, I have mostly created 2D art. I mainly do a lot of abstract work, using acrylic paint and gold leaf, focusing on rich color combinations and the compositions within a piece. Having to deal with all the requirements and rules of designing signage makes me want to come home and just let loose on a canvas, so I do just that. It’s still a work in progress, but I think I’ve established a nice balance for myself. In the future, I hope to create more Impressionist style paintings and combine photorealism with abstract, but for now I am experimenting solely with abstract techniques.”
