Career Women’s Network of Macon (CWN) is pleased to present its 2016 Women in Leadership Luncheon.

This year’s 2016 Women in Leadership Luncheon will feature the Honorable Verda Colvin, Superior Court Judge in the Macon judicial circuit.

About Judge Colvin:
Judge Verda Colvin is a Superior Court Judge in the Macon Judicial Circuit. She was appointed by Governor Nathan Deal on April 16, 2014 and is the first African-American female appointed to the Macon Judicial Circuit. Prior to her appointment, she was an Assistant United States Attorney in the Middle District of Georgia and an Assistant District Attorney in Clayton County. She also served as Assistant General Counsel at Clarke-Atlanta University in Atlanta. Judge Colvin is committed to serving her community professionally and personally. A member of the Macon Bar Association and the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys, Judge Colvin is a member of the Downtown Macon Rotary Club, a troop leader for Girl Scout Troop 60022 at St. Peter Claver Catholic School and an Executive Board Member of Boy Scouts of America Ocmulgee District, where she serves as Scoutreach Committee Chair and Vice President. She is on the Board of Directors for the Fuller House and will serve on the Regional Partnership Council of the Boys and Girls Club of Central Georgia. A proud Leadership Macon graduate (Class of 2010), she was honored for her community leadership as Leadership Macon’s 2015 Robert F. Hatcher Distinguished Alumni Award. She is also a recipient of CWN’s 2016 Women of Achievement Award.
