"We Teach Too II"

Middle Georgia State University’s Peacock Gallery is presenting “We Teach Too II,” an exhibit of faculty art, from Monday, Jan. 30, through Friday, Feb. 24. The exhibit includes work of MGA faculty members Charlie Agnew, associate professor of Art, Lee Simmons, assistant professor of Art, Shannon Riddle, lecturer of Art, and Johnny Crawford, artist-in-residence.

An opening reception and gallery talk is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, Peacock Gallery, located in Russell Hall on MGA’s Cochran Campus. This event is free and open to the public.

The source material for this exhibition comes from the artists’ various sources of interest. Charlie Agnew’s work focuses on nature and how it is affected by man. Johnny Crawford’s photography emphasizes telling stories. Shannon Riddle’s paintings concentrate on pop culture and media imagery. Lee Simmons’s prints center around narrative life experiences.

Admission is free to Peacock Gallery. Regular operating hours are 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to noon on Friday. A campus map and directions are at http://www.mga.edu/about/maps.aspx.
