Mount de Sales Academy’s third annual Music at the Mount concert series continues Friday, August 25. Series Marquee Sponsor is Cox Communications, and Show Presenter sponsors are Mid-Georgia Sales and Speir & Associates Electrical Contractors.
Athens-based Packway Handle Band has been making waves in the music industry since 2001. Notably, the Americana/bluegrass band toured with Kid Rock and Foreigner in 2015 while promoting its album “Take it Like a Man.” The band’s 2017 album release “Go On Get Up” features contributions from Bill Berry (R.E.M.) and Brad Morgan (Drive-By Truckers). Packway’s music also has drawn comparisons to The Travelin’ McCourys and The Avett Brothers.
Otis Music Camp performers will open for Packway. This annual camp, hosted by the Otis Redding Foundation, provides students with opportunities to learn from music masters while developing skills in lyric writing, vocals, and production.?
General Admission: $15 in advance; $20 at the gate
Guests may bring picnics, blankets, and chairs (no tables); first-come, first-served seating; boxed dinners are available for purchase at $10 each with advanced tickets only; boxed dinners will not be available for purchase at the concert.
VIP Stage-Level Table: $200; must be purchased in advance
Tables come with seating for 8 guests, one boxed dinner per person, and two drink tickets per person. Tablecloths are provided by MDS.
VIP Terrace-Level Table: $100; must be purchased in advance
