Second Sunday featuring Widow Pills

Second Sunday featuring Widow Pills

Presented by Bragg Jam at Coleman Hill

Bragg Jam is excited to feature Macon’s own, Widow Pills to our sixth Second Sunday on September 10th at Coleman Hill presented by The Medical Center, Navicent Health! The concert begins at 6 p.m. and -as always- free and open to the public!

“Hailing from the land where the ghost of southern music lingers with a presence that is not so much seen as it is felt. While ignoring this ghost is futile, these guys know there’s much more to this ghost called “southern music” than red solo cups and economic disparity. Simple songs and arrangements presented in a fairly traditional setup based around an acoustic guitar and vocal, is exactly what made early country music, early blues, and much later (with speed and volume added for good measure) punk rock so fantastic. A sound familiar but not derivative; one that stems from an array of influences and life experiences all united by the eccentricity of the South. A sound built on late-night porch storytelling, cold beer, family and friends, good food and good people. Music doesn’t have to be complicated to be great and Widow Pills are here to remind us of that fact.”
