Blighted Beauties, A Downtown Macon Photo Walk

An exploration of Downtown Macon’s urban landscape while sharing interesting facts and stories. The walk will shed light on many of historic and blighted properties throughout Downtown Macon. This walk is for anyone who is passionate about urban/street photography and wants to get out and shoot with others and explore Downtown Macon.
Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable footwear and to bring their cameras or phones to document their adventure. Participants are encouraged to use #DTMacphotowalk during the walk. The event is free and open to the public.

Photo Walk begins at NewTown Macon (555 Poplar Street) Refreshments will be served at 9:30am and the photo walk begins at 10:00am.

#DTMacphotowalk is organized by David Moore. David is an aspiring urbanist and a city nerd with a passion for history, food, culture, and public space. He resides in Downtown Macon, GA and serves as a Project Manager at NewTown Macon. He is a 2015 Emerging City Champion, Open Streets Macon committee member, and a College Hill Corridor Commissioner.
