Kirk West has just released his second photographic coffee table book, The Blues in Black & White. First Friday, October 6 Gallery West is hosting a book release party and book signing from 5 to 8 PM. Free wine, beer and soft drinks and light appetizers will be served.  The Blues in Black & White covers Kirk’s time spent in Chicago following the blues scene there during the 70’s and 80’s.  Included in the book are photographs of such blues legends as Muddy Waters, Koko Taylor, Etta James, Otis Rush, Solomon Burke, Willie Dixon, Johnny Winter, Dr. John, Junior Wells, Buddy Guy, B. B. King, Bobby “Blue” Bland, Little Milton, Albert King, Gregg Allman, John Lee Hooker, Taj Mahal, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi and many more. The book is a 208 page, hardcover coffee table book that sells for $55.
