Have you ever seen the massive Stone Mountain, Georgia carving and wondered how that massive sculpture was done? Well you can learn all that from the man who did the actual carving-or at least completed what famed sculptor Gutzon Borglum began (of Mount Rushmore fame). Stone Mountain’s master sculptor Roy Faulkner, a Korean War Veteran, sadly passed away in 2017 but his daughter Donna F. Barron will be on hand at the Cannonball House on Saturday, March 24th from 11-2 to sign copies of the book that tells the complete story: “The Man Who Carved Stone Mountain”. Come out and meet her, get your copy of this wonderful book and ask questions. Donna’s sharing of her father’s legacy is a labor of love for her beloved father and we are so blessed that she could come to The Cannonball House to share his story. There is no fee to meet the author and purchase a book. Tours of The Cannonball House can also be taken that day at our regular tour prices. Call 478-745-5982.
