Macon Wine & Arts Festival Vintages & Vinyl Grand Tasting

In wine, there is truth. Macon Arts Alliance is truly delighted to introduce a new artistic culinary creation, available for consumption on September 28-29, 2018. The Macon Wine & Arts Festival will be hosted in collaboration with Quality Wine & Spirits in the newly restored 1920-era art deco Beeland Auditorium, located in the heart of Macon’s first neighborhood and known today as the Mill Hill East Macon Arts Village. A signature series of wine, art and musically-inspired events will educate and engage local enthusiasts and traveling truth seekers.

Prosecco & Plein Air

Bring on the bubbly. Corks will pop promptly at 5 PM on Friday, September 28 for Prosecco and Plein Air, the official opening reception of the 2nd Annual Plein Air in the Parks exhibit. The show will feature freshly painted landscapes inspired and created in Macon’s lovely outdoor settings by 15 artists, all professionally curated and displayed in the Mill Hill Community Arts Center Gallery. Patrons will sip prosecco, sample fruits and cheeses, admire art, mingle with artists, play bocce ball and get in the groove with music mixes from Fresh Produce Celebrity DJ. Fresh Produce Records will host a record swap and sale will feature vintage albums, new vinyl releases and collectibles. Vintage music-themed photographs and books from photographer Kirk West of Gallery West West will also be available. Prosecco & Plein Air is free and open to the public from 5-8 PM.

Vintages & Vinyl

Please your culinary palate and your artistic palette. The fabulous Beeland Auditorium will be transformed into a Grand Tasting room for Vintages & Vinyl on Saturday, September 29 from 1-4 PM. Wine experts and savvy servers will pour unlimited tastings of specially-selected international and domestic wines, offering tasting notes and pairing recommendations. Gourmet cheeses and palate-cleansing snacks will be offered while Celebrity DJ Kirk West serves up sweet & spicy musical food for the soul. Vintage music-themed photographs and books from photographer Kirk West of Gallery West West will also be available.Fresh Produce Records will host a record swap and sale will feature vintage albums, new vinyl releases and collectibles. Plein Air in the Parks exhibit will be open in the gallery. Adults 21 and over receive a souvenir tasting glass and admission to Vintages & Vinyl Grand tasting for $40.

Turning the Tables

Everyone wants the best table. Get exclusive access to VIP chef table experiences featuring small plate and wine pairings crafted by culinary celebrities. Four private sessions with professional chefs will be hosted on Saturday, September 29 from 12-5 PM in a gleaming gourmet kitchen equipped with wall-to-wall stainless steel and state-of-the-art Viking appliances. Get a front row seat and watch the artistry as gastronomic demonstrations are conducted while listening to the music that inspired them. VIP tasting sessions include a full pour of a noteworthy wine that chefs and wine experts paired to complement the dish. Turning the Tables tickets are $65 per guest per session and include a Vintages and Vinyl Grand Tasting ticket. Menus are currently in development and will be released to the public when confirmed. Featured chefs include Myko Estacio from Natalia’s, Matthew Hammock from Oliver’s Bistro, Brad Stevens of Dovetail and Celebrity Chef Alex Morrison.
