As the winter weather sets in to Middle Georgia, Amerson Water Works Park will change its operating schedule due to decreased attendance during the colder months. As of January 1, the park will only be open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am until 5 pm. This schedule will be reevaluated in late spring.

Although the gates will be locked on the weekdays to vehicles, the pedestrian gate is always open allowing patrons to walk or bike into the park anytime. The park will continue to be available for weekday or weekend rentals and more information can be found at www.newtownmacon.com.
