Jaimoe's Jassz Band

Jaimoe's Jassz Band

Presented by The Allman Brothers Band Museum at the Big House at Douglass Theatre

It is with great pride that the Allman Brothers Band Museum at the Big House presents JAIMOE’S JASSSZ BAND in concert. The performance will be a benefit for the Big House Museum. As many of you know, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Jaimoe is one of the founding members of the Allman Brothers Band, and 43 years later is still one of the drummers in the group.

The locale of this show has very special meaning to Jaimoe, as he played the Douglass Theatre countless times in the 1960s. Jaimoe played with many R&B greats such as Otis Redding, Percy Sledge, Joe Tex, Arthur Conley, Sam & Dave, Jackie Avery and many others before being the first person Duane Allman officially invited to join what would become the Allman Brothers Band [see www.jaimoe.com]. Joining Jaimoe will be: Junior Mack – guitar and vocals, Dave Stoltz – bass, Paul Lieberman – sax, flute, and piccolo, Kris Jensen – sax and Reggie Pittman – trumpet….with possible special guests.
