3rd Annual Georgia Presenters Showcase

3rd Annual Georgia Presenters Showcase

at The Grand Opera House

Georgia Presenters is a program created by Atlanta’s Fox Theatre Institute to showcase the diverse talent from Georgia available for booking in the 2012-2013 season.

The showcase will feature a wide variety of acts with the purpose of allowing smaller theatres to collectively book shows for a reduced rate. The artists represent the depth of talent cultivated in the state, covering a wide variety of genres and styles and include established performance careers as well as the next big acts in the industry. They have also performed with some of the greatest names in music, including Gregg Allman, Sarah McLachlan, The Chieftans, Ed Roland of Collective Soul and Bonnie Raitt. Performers include:

· CORE Performance Company (contemporary dance),
· Elise Witt & Mezzanine: Global, Local & Homemade Songs™ (global folk),
· Embraceable You: The Music of Georgia Gershwin (Broadway-inspired musical comedy),
· Georgia Shakespeare’s Will Power Ensemble: Will on Wheels Tour (education-focused children’s theatre),
· Hayiya Dance Theatre (West African dance),
· Randall Bramblett & Tommy Talton (singer/songwriter duo), and
· Von Grey (eclectic country/pop).

The event is part of the Georgia Presenters annual spring block booking meeting and is held in conjunction with the Georgia Arts Network annual conference. I can arrange a media pass for you and also provide more information on the performers/artists, etc. upon your request.
