Passport to the Past: Discovering Macon's History

Presented by Historic Macon Foundation at Sidney Lanier Cottage

This summer, Historic Macon Foundation is offering a fun-filled week of exploring and learning about Macon’s fascinating history. Campers will be transported back in time by traveling to Macon’s most important historic sites. Each site will offer hands-on activities to demonstrate life in days gone by. Activities will include everything from old-timey games to scrapbooking, calligraphy, and quilting! Our travels to the past will include trips to the Ocmulgee Indian Mounds, Fort Hawkins, the Hay House, the Cannonball House, and more.

Director: Sue M. King, M.Ed., REACH Program Teacher at Sonny Carter Elementary
