Darcy Elleby Pino will be the speaker when the new (and first!) chapter of the Georgia Nature Photographers’ Association (GNPA) meets at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15th, at the J. Joel Edwards Public Library in Zebulon. The library is located at 7077 S. Highway 19, about a mile south of the courthouse.
Darcy was born in Minnesota but was reared in Brazil. She has lived in eight different countries and is multi-lingual. Her varied cultural experiences, as well as her passion and love for people and nature, are reflected in her actions and in her artistic work.
She teams with John Mariana (renowned photographer and popular educator) to lead photography workshops in Costa Rica, Peru, etc. Her website is http://www.darcysphotography.com/ and John’s is http://www.marianaphotography.com/ .
All nature photographers are invited to meet Darcy and enjoy her presentation. There is no charge to attend the meeting, but attendees will be invited to become a member of GNPA (www.gnpa.org) and attend chapter meetings in Zebulon on the third Tuesday in each month and/or the larger group’s meeting in Marietta every third Thursday in order to learn from skilled photographers such as Darcy.
