Center for the Arts Academy Summer Intensive: Total Immersion in the Arts

Presented by Wesleyan College at Wesleyan College

A week-long fine arts immersion program for rising high school sophomores, juniors, seniors and graduating seniors on the campus of Wesleyan College.

Rising high school sophomores, juniors, seniors and graduating seniors can explore a variety of fine arts disciplines with our outstanding faculty during a one-week immersion program. Have fun, explore multiple areas of interest and experience college life. The program is designed specifically for high school students to study, create and perform in studio art, music, or theatre. In addition to advanced study of the arts, you’ll experience life at the world’s oldest college for women and learn from our world-class faculty.

Enriching Student Life Experience
The Academy’s one-week intensive program of supervised activities takes full advantage of life on the Wesleyan campus. Students live in residence halls, eat in the historic Anderson Dining Room, and have access to the Mathews Athletic Center facilities.

High-Quality Teaching-Oriented Faculty
At Wesleyan’s Center for the Arts Academy, all students engage with our faculty. Our students benefit from strong mentoring, small classes and personal interaction with professors. Our faculty members are noted scholars, experienced performers, expert researchers and skilled mentors. They are not only accomplished professors, but accomplished professionally in their field. They are highly accessible, invest personally in each student and remain valuable resources long after the summer program.

Admissions and Eligibility
Female students who have successfully completed at least their freshman year in high school and are interested in creative or performing arts may attend Center for the Arts Academy Summer Intensive.
