Bragg Jam Moonlight Miles

Bragg Jam Moonlight Miles

at Central City Park

Bragg Jam’s nighttime 5K fundraiser returns on Saturday, July 21. Registration and check-in starts at 7 p.m. at Central City Park. Racers will then be transported to the starting line at Tattnall Square Park starting at 8 p.m.

At Tattnall Square Park, Intown Neighborhood Association will have the outdoor movie screen playing eighties music videos. The race will begin at 9 p.m. sharp, with a live music performance and runners’ send-off by Streetline, Macon’s drum line. Additional live music will be playing from front porches along the route, which winds from Tattnall Square Park through the College Hill Corridor and downtown, and finishes back at Central City Park where Sterling Waite and the Cotton Avenue Hustlers will be performing a concert as racers cross the finish line.

Participants are invited to run or walk in the event. Awards will be given for fastest times in various age levels, but there will also be trophies for best costume, best glow-in-the-dark and even “most enthusiastic spectator.”

Cost to participate is $25 on the day of the race ($15 for ages 17 & under). You may also pre-register at braggjam.org. The first 100 participants will receive a free Moonlight Miles t-shirt. For more information, visit the Moonlight Miles page on braggjam.org.
