Meet the Author - Allison Gaudet Yarrow

As a part of her fall book tour, Allison Yarrow will be in Macon on Monday, November 5th 7:00 pm at Congregation Sha’arey Israel (611 First Street, Macon) to discuss her book 90’s Bitch: Media, Culture and the Failed Promise of Gender Equality. Allison is an award-winning journalist and National Magazine Award finalist who has written for the New York Times, the Washington Post, Vox, and many other publications. She was a TED resident and is a grantee of the International Women’s Media Foundation. She produced the VICE documentary Misconception and has appeared on the Today show, MSNBC, NPR, and more. Yarrow was raised in Macon, Georgia, and lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Georgia Women is excited to welcome one of Macon’s own to share what she has learned in years of researching media treatment of issues important to women. The subjects that Yarrow covers in her well researched book are timely and intricately connected to the mission of Georgia Women (And Those Who Stand With Us).
