Sidney's Salon with Gena Knox

Sidney's Salon with Gena Knox

Presented by Historic Macon Foundation at Sidney Lanier Cottage

The Lanier Center for Literary Arts’ next Salon Series (August-November) will feature southern food and gardening. Our August guest will be Gena Knox, whose passion is immersing herself in locally grown foods and the Southern cooking, but making it a little more contemporary, sometimes a bit lighter, and almost always easy enough for every day. Gena sticks with fresh ingredients and great seasonings to trim things down a bit and keep incredible rich tastes. Her second cookbook, "Southern My Way: Simple Recipes, Fresh Flavors," features more than 250 pages of seasonal recipes, streamlined for busy lives and accompanied by full-color photographs that portray a lifelong love affair with Southern food and culture. Historic Macon thanks Capital City Bank for sponsoring this Salon series.
