Sidney's Salon with Carol Porter

Sidney's Salon with Carol Porter

Presented by Historic Macon Foundation at Sidney Lanier Cottage

The Lanier Center for Literary Arts’ next Salon Series (August-November) will feature southern food and gardening. Our September guest will be Carol Porter, recipe/cookbook columnist for The Telegraph. She selects a cookbook and then seeks her readers’ help in selecting their favorite recipes from it by a vote in her bi-weekly poll. Carol cooks and writes about it all on her blog and in the newspaper. Transitioning from the world of business (General Manager of nine newspapers) and politics (nominee for Lieutenant Governor of Georgia) to life in the country, Carol, with an empty nest, a barn full of cookbooks, a history in journalism, and a life of culinary experiences, is starting a new chapter in her life and wants to take you along for the ride. Historic Macon thanks Capital City Bank for sponsoring this Salon Series.
