Scott Duce Workshop is designed to teach students how to see color as shape and light for compositional clarity. The workshop will investigate color as shape and value relationships with an emphasis on light logic and observational color mixing. In each session students will create a color study from direct observation of an interior space set-up with a figure. No experience working from a live model is needed. The workshop is designed specifically to teach students to see shape as color as opposed to objects or things. It is recommended that students have previous knowledge of oil painting techniques. Students will be expected to supply their own materials and be ready to begin painting on day one! This is a workshop in oil paint on panel with respect for the nature of color mixing consistency.
