As a legendary R&B singer, producer, and songwriter, Charlie Wilson has done pretty much everything, and as the elder statesman of adult R&B, the former Gap Band vocalist has won countless awards and provided guest vocals for everyone from Snoop Dogg to Kanye West. Now Wilson’s on tour in 2012, and fans won’t want to miss seeing the legend live and in concert.
Joining Charlie on his debut visit to Macon will be the S.O.S. Band and Brick.
The S.O.S. Band first topped the charts with timeless, mega-hit "Take Your Time (Do It Right)" in 1980. In 1983, they joined forces with then new production team of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, who went on to craft a string of R&B hits for the group, including "Just Be Good to Me", "Tell Me If You Still Care", "Borrowed Love", "No One’s Gonna Love You", "Just the Way You Like It" and "The Finest".
Brick created a successful merger of funk and jazz in the ’70s they called "dazz." Chart-topping hits include: "Dazz", "Dusic", "Ain’t Gonna’ Hurt Nobody", and "Sweat (Til You Get Wet".
