The Allman Brothers Band Museum at The Big House is one of Macon’s favorite tourist destinations. The house, now a museum and venue space, was once the place where members of The Allman Brothers Band, their families, friends and roadies lived, worked and played from 1970 to 1973. We are more than a museum, in partnership with the Bibb County Public School System, The Big House provides free hand drumming lessons in the after school program and by sponsoring quarterly concerts, it provides a historic venue for local entertainers to share their music with the community.

The Brickyard at Riverside is a private, 18-hole golf course located off Riverside Drive in Macon, Ga. The championship golf course was redesigned in 2005 by 10-time Profession Golf Association Tour Winner Mark McCumber. The Brickyard is currently ranked the 15th Best Golf Course in Georgia by Golf Digest. It has served as the host course for the 2011 United States Golf Association’s Mid Amateur Qualifier and the 2011 Georgia State Golf Association Women’s Top 60 Classic.
